The Deutscher Sauna-Bund's qualification for aufguss staff, Fachpersonal für Saunaaufgüsse, runs over two days in Bielefeld, December 1 and 2, 2026. The theory day covers how much water to use, temperature, duration and the changing climate during an aufguss, along with safety and essential oils, and ends with a short test.
The practice day covers waving techniques with different towels, the aufguss ceremony and guest handling, and ends with a supervised aufguss in the sauna. A two-day training camp at Panorama Therme Beuren in January 2027 ends with an exam that can lead to the same qualification.
