XIX International Sauna Congress

The XIX International Sauna Congress runs September 24 to 26, 2026 in Oslo, hosted by the Norwegian Sauna Association on behalf of the International Sauna Association. The quadrennial gathering connects researchers, operators, designers, cultural organizations, and public-health voices.

What Happens Here

The program spans sauna culture, health, architecture, operations, and social practice. The congress runs at Rebel in central Oslo and at The Well, the largest spa in the Nordics, rather than one convention center. The closing Badstufest is Saturday, September 26 at Sukkerbiten on the Oslo Fjord, and it takes a separate ticket.

The congress is not a trade fair and nobody works a booth, but the sponsor board is close to a roll call of the European heater industry. Oslo is the room where the people who specify saunas talk to the people who research them, under two weeks before the same brands set up stands at Interbad. HUUM's own framing to partners was that it's a place for longer conversations that trade fairs rarely allow.
