Smart-control platform: Xenio installed base, Fenix 2025 flagship
Xenio has shipped with nearly every Harvia heater since 2018. Fenix launched Q3 2025 with a 4.3" full touchscreen, WiFi, over-the-air updates, and backward-compatible wiring.
Harvia runs two generations of control platform. Xenio is the large installed base — it ships with most Harvia heaters sold since ~2018. Fenix is the 2025 flagship: 4.3-inch full touchscreen, MyHarvia WiFi app control, over-the-air firmware updates, and critically, backward-compatible wiring so Xenio owners upgrade without rewiring the heater. The MyHarvia app is the unifying interface across both — temperature, humidity, lighting, ventilation, week timers, multi-sauna control for commercial operators, and the new MyHarvia Smart Sauna Sensor that retrofits any existing sauna. Fenix sales started Q3 2025. CEO Järnefelt flagged "really great performance" in Q4.

Harvia positions Fenix as backward-compatible with the Xenio wiring footprint, which covers the large majority of existing installations and is the upgrade path the CEO specifically highlighted on the Q3 2025 earnings call. For older Xenio units, verify the model label and wiring with a Harvia dealer before ordering Fenix as a straight replacement.
The official product name is "Fenix" (Finnish / Latin). Some English-language investor call transcripts transliterate the name as "Phoenix." They refer to the same product. Use "Fenix" when searching harvia.com or Harvia product documentation.
Fenix supports over-the-air firmware updates via the MyHarvia app. For commercial operators running multiple Harvia saunas, that means firmware and feature updates roll out without a service visit. Harvia has indicated continued investment in the MyHarvia platform, so expect the OTA update stream to be the delivery vehicle for future Fenix feature additions.
Different Fenix (and Xenio) variants are rated for different maximum heater kW. Match the control panel to the specific heater nameplate: a mid-range Harvia residential heater pairs with the FX45/CX45 class; larger commercial heaters like Virta Pro HL200 or HL220 require the higher-rated FX170/CX170 class. Confirm against Harvia's compatibility chart before ordering.
