Miramar’s new public bathhouse starts with limited soft launch bookings, 90-minute visits and music listening sessions.

Sink Bathhouse & Sauna opens to the public on October 12 in Miramar, Wellington, New Zealand. The venue at 128A Park Road will have limited bookings during its soft launch week, according to its opening announcement.
The bathhouse combines a traditional sauna, a cold pool at 54–59°F, a warm pool at about 100°F and a lounge with tea. Visits last 90 minutes, with guests moving between heat, water and rest at their own pace rather than following a guided sequence.
Music is part of the program. Sink plans listening sessions built around an album, live artist or other selected audio, as well as separate DJ sessions. Listening sessions encourage quiet; DJ sessions allow conversation.
Sessions are communal and mixed gender, with swimwear required. Phones stay in lockers, and photography is prohibited. Sauna towels are provided; guests can bring a towel for afterward or hire one. Separate changing rooms and showers are available.
Bookings run through Sink’s website. Walk-ins are accepted when space permits, but the operator recommends reserving ahead.
