Entry-level workhorse — the heater Harvia ships in real volume
Symmetric stainless, UL-listed, compact. The default heater inside most Almost Heaven barrel saunas and high-volume specialty-dealer kit builds.
The Vega is the product nobody writes magazine features about and Harvia sells at the highest volume in the lineup. A compact, wall-mounted, symmetric stainless heater for small-to-mid residential saunas between 70 and 510 cubic feet. Vega ships inside most Almost Heaven barrel sauna kits, Costco-channel packages, and specialty-dealer entry-level builds. Two variants: BC (built-in controls) for plug-and-play installs, and BCE (external controls) for pairing with a Xenio or Fenix panel. Runs on standard US 240V single-phase.

Built-in controls (BC) is the default and the right choice for straightforward residential installs where the user will always start the heater from the physical switch. The external-control (BCE) variant is worth the added cost only when pairing with a Harvia Xenio or Fenix control panel for WiFi, remote start, or MyHarvia app functionality.
Vega's comparatively modest stone capacity means each stone has to do more of the work. Use washed sauna stones in the size range Harvia specifies (typically 2-4 inch / 5-10 cm olivine-diabase). Landscape or decorative rocks can pack too tight, restrict airflow, and trip the high-limit cutout.
The 4.5 kW BC45 is rated for relatively small rooms. Real US residential saunas with glass doors or less-than-ideal insulation often perform below nameplate. If your room is at the upper edge of BC45's range, specify BC60 instead for more consistent target-temperature behavior.
Almost Heaven sauna kits bundle a Vega heater as the default on most residential packages, but the specific model (BC60 vs BC80, etc.) varies by kit and season. If the kit size is at the boundary between two Vega variants, confirm the specific bundled model on the product spec sheet before ordering.
