World Sauna Day is an annual global observance coordinated by Sauna from Finland, the industry association with 250+ member companies. Held every April 25, it recognizes sauna bathing as a culturally significant wellness practice and is marked by events at thermal facilities in more than 50 countries, including the US.
What Happens on World Sauna Day
Participating venues host free or discounted sauna sessions, educational programming on traditional Finnish löyly, Aufguss demonstrations, and community events. Many North American bathhouses and urban social-sauna clubs now run themed programming to mark the day, including Bathhouse in New York and Othership.
