Saunologia hosts Finnish Sauna Essentials in Helsinki on June 13, 2026, as a side event immediately following World Sauna Forum in Jyväskylä. The workshop is designed for professionals who need practical guidance on building saunas that deliver authentic Finnish bathing quality in real projects.
What Participants Learn
The approximately three-hour session is led by Lassi Liikkanen, PhD, founder of Saunologia. Using an integrated indoor sauna case study, participants work through core design and construction decisions: room layout and capacity, heater selection and placement, ventilation strategy, bench geometry, material specification, lighting, and finishing details.
The workshop also covers terminology and standards professionals can use with clients, contractors, and project teams. Optional sauna time follows the session.
