Lohjan Saunafest 2026
Mobile saunas, live music and a grill on a lake beach an hour west of Helsinki, with caravan parking on site. The plainest possible version of the trailer-sauna festival, which is what makes it useful as a template.

Lohjan Saunafest runs on Saturday 8 August 2026 at Aurlahden rantakenttä, the beach field at Aurlahti in Lohja, about 40 miles west of Helsinki on Lake Lohjanjärvi. The Saunarinki listing describes the format as portable saunas, live music, a grill and a cheerful atmosphere, with a limited number of caravan parking spaces on site.
Why an Operator Should Care
There is no venue here in any capital sense. A municipal beach field, a fleet of towed saunas, a stage, a grill, and a lake doing the cooling. Add caravan spaces and the site becomes an overnight destination without anyone building accommodation.
That last detail is the one American mobile operators tend to miss. The marginal cost of letting people sleep in the parking lot is close to zero, and it converts a day event into a weekend one, which is what changes the revenue per attendee. The constraint in the US is not the sauna, it is that a municipal beach lot with overnight parking runs into permitting most towns have never been asked about.
