Herrankukkaro Smoke Sauna Events, 2026
A year-round run of dated public smoke-sauna evenings at an archipelago resort with a large earth smoke sauna, warm pools, and open-fire meals. Thirteen dates run from August through December.

Herrankukkaro sits at Luotojentie 245 in Rymättylä, part of Naantali in the Turku archipelago, built around a former fishing village. Its headline asset is what the resort calls the maailman suurin maasavusauna, the world’s largest earth smoke sauna, with adjoining warm-water pools and sauna capacity given at up to 150 people.
Four dated public evenings fall in August 2026:
- 1 August, 14:30 to 18:30 — Smoke & Swing, a smoke sauna evening
- 14 August — Seniorisavusauna, for visitors aged 60 and over, with the smoke sauna, the outdoor warm pools and fireside dining by the sea
- 15 August, 14:30 to 18:30 — Suvilöylyt saaristossa, summer löyly in the archipelago
- 29 August, 18:30 to 22:00 — Muinaistulien ilta, the evening of ancient fires
The resort also runs Sauna & elävän tulen ruokailu, sauna with open-fire dining, Tuesday to Saturday from 23 June to 8 August.
Remaining 2026 dates
After the 29 August Night of Ancient Fires, the published schedule continues on 12 and 26 September, 10 and 24 October, 7 and 21 November, and 5, 12 and 19 December. These are separate ticketed afternoons, not one continuous event.
How the Program Works
Herrankukkaro gives the earth smoke sauna a stated capacity of up to 150 people. Because the fire is out before bathing begins, each public session depends on a long heat-up and a scheduled opening rather than drop-in operation.
The venue packages the sauna as a series of dated evenings, sometimes with open-fire dining or a specific audience such as the seniors’ session. Each date is ticketed separately through the venue.
