Saunum Experience is now Saunum Air worldwide, and the Pro Experience, Spa Session and Base become the Air L, Air Perfect and AirSolo. The hardware doesn’t change.

Estonian heater maker Saunum has renamed its products outside North America so the whole lineup carries the names US buyers already know. The heater sold internationally as the Saunum Experience is now the Saunum Air, the company said in a LinkedIn post on October 20.
The full set of changes:
- Saunum Experience is now Saunum Air
- Saunum Pro Experience is now Saunum Air L
- Saunum Spa Session is now Saunum Air Perfect
- Saunum Base, the standalone air-blending unit for saunas with another heater, is now Saunum AirSolo

The Saunum Luxury heater, which isn’t on Saunum’s US site, keeps its name.
Only the names change
Saunum says the hardware stays the same. “Same innovative technology. Same trusted products. New names that better reflect what Saunum stands for,” the company wrote when it previewed the change on October 14.
The new names point at Saunum’s patented air-blending system, which the company says draws hot air from near the ceiling, blends it with cooler air from near the floor and sends it back into the room for a more even temperature.
The control panel follows suit. Saunum’s October 14 client newsletter, sent “alongside our rebranding,” links a global AirIQ manual, the name the US unit already used. That day’s firmware release (Control Panel 1.2.5, Power Unit 1.2.3, AutoLeil 1.8.2) “updated the heater list in the settings to reflect the rebranded Saunum product names.” In August, Saunum’s software-update emails still called the European version Leil, the name used in our earlier coverage of its software.
US names stay put
Saunum’s US site already lists the Air, Air L, Air Perfect and AirSolo, and its old Saunum Experience page now redirects to the Saunum Air. The old names will live on in European reviews, forum threads, older manuals and award listings. The Air Perfect, for one, won Schwimmbad+Sauna’s Golden Wave 2024 innovation award as the Spa Session, as we noted at its US launch.
Matching names don’t make the hardware interchangeable. Saunum still publishes separate US and global manuals, and the US product pages for the Air and Air L list UL certification. If a unit comes from overseas, check the rating plate and the manual cover, not just the name.
