Pause Studio will open its first Colorado location in Boulder on December 5, pairing infrared saunas with cold plunges in private suites. Owners Aly and Brad Reese are bringing the recovery studio to 3390 Valmont Road, with online booking scheduled to start November 19.
The November 5 opening announcement sets operating hours at 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. An opening celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 5.
Private suites and a menu beyond sauna
Each contrast suite combines a full-spectrum infrared sauna, a cold plunge and a private shower. Guests can use a suite alone or with a friend. The wider menu includes float tanks, cryotherapy, LED light therapy, compression and intravenous treatments.
Aly Reese is a registered nurse with 11 years of cardiac-care experience, according to the announcement. She will lead a clinical team of four nurses. Brad Reese brings a background in healthcare and technology sales.
The format adds a private-suite option to a market where operators sell sauna and plunge access through gym tiers, add-ons and session fees. It also differs from the large shared sauna rooms behind communal openings such as All’s Well in Minneapolis.
Memberships start at $149 for 12 monthly credits
The Boulder location’s website lists four monthly membership tiers ahead of the opening:
- Core: $149 for 12 credits.
- Signature: $239 for 22 credits.
- Premium: $339 for 34 credits.
- VIP: $449 for 50 credits.
A 30-minute sauna session uses three credits; a 60-minute sauna session uses four. Contrast sessions use four credits for 30 minutes or six for an hour. Signature, Premium and VIP members can add a second person for $49 a month to share their credits.
The opening announcement says memberships go on sale when the studio opens, with introductory pricing for people who join during the first 30 days. The website’s listed tiers are a credit allowance across eligible services, rather than unlimited sauna and plunge access.
Pause says it has more than 25 studios across 15 states. Its location directory also lists a Denver Tech Center studio as coming soon, without an opening date.
