Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, organization details you submit through forms, and limited usage data from analytics tools.
Analytics
We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics and use PostHog to see how stories are read: which pages are opened, how far down a story readers scroll, how long a page stays open, which links and buttons are clicked, and where on a page clicks land (heatmaps). Neither tool sets cookies or stores anything on your device, so a visit is not linked to your later visits. The only cookie this site sets remembers a language you choose. We strip search terms and other query strings from page addresses before anything is sent. PostHog does not record your screen or anything you type into a form, and it honors your browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings. Vercel receives your IP address to count visits; PostHog stores it with each event and uses it to estimate your country and city. PostHog processes this data in the United States. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding what readers find useful, use the numbers only to decide what to cover and how to present it, keep them for as long as they help us compare coverage over time, and never use them for advertising or sell them. To have analytics data deleted, write to us at the address below.
How we use information
We use data to send requested newsletters, review editorial submissions, improve site performance, and communicate about reader inquiries.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers that help us run email delivery, hosting, and analytics.
